Summer Recipe

Summer fun in the kitchen. I was very inspired by these ingredients and the reflections.

As I was painting, I could smell the cake baking!

Zen of the Lake

This is a plein air oil painting that was painted at the north end of Canandaigua Lake.

 During this time the lake was very calm. I enjoyed the peacefulness and quietude.

Reflections of the Lake

This painting won second place in the Finger Lakes Plein Air Community Paint Out. 

 It was painted on the north end of Canandaigua Lake.  I had two hours to complete the painting on a very windy day!

Honey and Melon

Honey, melon, and what else? Are we waiting for a recipe, or do we create one?

Painting and cooking are similar.

Golden Hue

This is a mixed media collage. It takes on different golden hues depending on the angle of the viewer. It has a mysterious quality.

Ambient Harmony

Spring Softness was my inspiration for this oil painting. Using a limited palette, I created an abstract impressionistic landscape. I like the way the painting has a watercolor feeling to it.

This is a mixed media abstract oil landscape on yupo paper.

 I have been experimenting with oil paint on paper. 

I like that you can easily wipe out color creating interesting effects.
